Requesting Items

Schewe Library has two separate systems through which patrons may request ILL material.

• The fastest and most convenient ILL method is the Illinois Share (I-Share) system, provided by the Consortium of Academic & Research Libraries in Illinois (CARLI).

• The slower ILL method is the WorldShare system, provided by the Online Computing Resource Center (OCLC).

Request Processing & Fulfillment

Schewe Library is committed to fulfilling ILL requests in the shortest time possible. Regretfully, Schewe Library cannot guarantee that an ILL item will arrive within a certain timeframe, nor can it guarantee that another library will provide material requested by an Illinois College patron.

Fines

Once a patron receives their ILL item, they are responsible for the care and timely return of their items. Any fines, repair, or replacement costs are the responsibility of the patron.
