Food & Drink
• Food and drink are permitted on all floors of the library, but not within the Archives.
• Foods which are excessively greasy or messy should be consumed away from library materials.
• Any spills or mess resultant from food and drink are the responsibility of the patron, and should be cleaned up as quickly as possible and please notify staff of the mess.
• Disposal of all food waste is the responsibility of the patron.
Tobacco & Smoking Products
• Schewe Library fully adheres to Illinois College’s Smoking Policy. The policy prohibits smoking in all indoor areas or within 15 feet of the perimeter of any building on the College campus.
• The use of all tobacco and smoking products including vaping are prohibited in the library.
Alcohol & Illegal Drugs
• Alcohol and illegal drugs (federally and at the state-level) are prohibited in Schewe Library.
• Patrons visibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be asked to leave the library and may not be allowed to return.
• Schewe Library reserves the right to allow alcohol in the library for special events.
