Digital South Asia Library - As a project of the Center for Research Libraries, the Digital South Asia Library is a global collaborative effort to make important and rare South Asian resources available to the international community.
South Asian American Digital Archive (SAADA) - Documents the South Asian diaspora communities from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and many other nations in the United States. It includes rare materials from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Sards 3- Contains bibliographic references to South Asia research articles published in journals, collective volumes, conference proceedings, Festschriften, and so forth.
Official Publications of India - Government documents relating to pre- and post-independence South Asia, from two major collections within the British Library--the Oriental and India Office Collections and the Official Publications Section of the former British Museum.
GenderWatch - Contains citations for (and often full text of) publications that focus on the impact of gender across a broad spectrum of subject areas from the 1970's to the present. Provides in-depth coverage of subjects that are uniquely central to women's lives. The database includes academic and scholarly journals, magazines, newspapers, newsletters, regional publications, books, booklets and pamphlets, conference proceedings, and government, non-governmental organization, and special reports.
JSTOR - This general database provides full-text access to over 1,300 journals and magazines in a variety of content areas. The searching options are limited, but students like the "clean and simple" interfaces

Center for Research Libraries (CRL) Online Catalog: Newspapers - Newspaper holdings include over 16,000 titles, more than 10,000 of which are published outside the US. CRL endeavors to collect extensive and, whenever possible, complete runs of newspaper titles, and its holdings of some titles are the most complete in existence. As a member of CRL, UCLA students and faculty can borrow any of these titles on interlibrary loan.
South Asia Microform Project (SAMP) - Digital and Microform collection of materials related to the study of South Asia.
South Asian Newspapers from the World Newspaper Archive - Coverage of people, issues and events that shaped the Indian Subcontinent between 1864 and 1922. Features titles published in India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Languages include English, Bengali, Gujarati, and others. Titles include such key publications as: Amrita Bazar Patrika (Calcutta), Bankura Darpana (Bankura, India), Madras Mail (Madras), Tribune (Lahore, Pakistan) and the Ceylon Observer (Sri Lanka).

"Pakistan's most widely circulated English language Newspaper." Note: The Library has microforms of back issues: Oct. 26, 1941-Sept. 3, 1947 (Originally published from Delhi); 1951-to date (from Karachi). For current holdings check with the Newspapers and Microforms Dept.
