This week, we will learn about citations. A citation is a reference statement in your work. This helps your reader understand that you found information or an idea from someone else. This is a required and important part of research; you must give credit where credit is due!

What is required this week:
Your completed annotated bibliography is due on Sunday, April 18 at 11:59pm on your Google Doc.
Remember our sample annotated bibliography from the beginning of the semester? Take a look at its citations to get an idea of how yours should look. The information will, of course, be different, but how they are formatted will be similar!

Notice: when your citation takes up multiple lines, all lines must be indented after the first one.
These step-by-step guides will discuss when and how you need to cite sources, as well as resources to help you make citations.
Schewe Library produces our very citation guides. There is a guide for each of the three major styles- Chicago, APA, and MLA- on our citation page. For this project, you will be using the MLA style guide (click on the picture below to be taken directly to it).
This guide aims to make creating your own citations easier. For each resource you might need to cite, a formula is provided. All you need to do is plug in the information for your source and format appropriately! And as always, pay special attention to indentation.
