CO 101: Reliable Basic Information

Hi Folks,

On this page, we recommend a couple of sources that will help you get trustworthy, reliable background statistics and information about your topic that you can cite in your speech.  Usually when making a persuasive speech like this, you want to provide the listener with a little overview and context about your topic, which can often mean including reliable statistics, and these websites are great for that purpose.

Though these sources are great and very reliable, they do not count as scholarly resources, so even if you use one or both in your speech, you will still need to find additional scholarly articles.
