Navigating Schewe Library
Schewe Library has three floors. The elevator for Schewe Library is located in the librarian offices on the main floor, but is open to the public to use. It is located within view of a hallway near the circulation desk. Any library staff will be happy to assist you in locating it, if you have any difficulties. Stairs are located between the Circulation desk and Schewe 212 (directly to the right of the main floor entrance) and behind the Digital Learning Center.
Schewe Library is organized by subject with the Dewey Decimal Classification system. You can find a detailed table of Dewey Decimal Classification through this link. Each book will feature a sticker with its Dewey Decimal call number. Items with call numbers 000-499 can be found on the lower floor and items with call numbers 500-999 can be found on the upper floor (see the floor plans below for more details). Call numbers for specific titles can easily be located through our online catalog. If you have any difficulties locating an item, please contact a library staff member.
