Spanish 101 C: Finding Scholarly Articles

On this page you will find a handout/video pair detailing the optimal ways to find scholarly articles using Schewe Library's Multi-Database SearchFor your blog and presentation you will need to find 3 or more scholarly articles.  Google Scholar is also a useful source for scholarly articles, though not all the articles you find will be available to read, and not all the things you find will be scholarly articles!

When searching for your 3 or more scholarly articles it is quite possible that you will find a scholarly article discussing the precise nature of your topic (e.g., "leftist protesting in Bolivia"), but also be prepared to be flexible and settle for scholarly articles that discuss only pieces of your topic (e.g., "leftist protesting in Latin America", "political unrest in Bolivia, etc.).  Part of college-level research is building bridges between point A and point B, and you can't always expect to find all the information you're looking for in one "perfect" source!
